Bio
Melodic,
lyrical, intelligent. Hard grooves, intricate instrumentation. Melancholy
with a sign of hope. Andrew’s brand of acoustic rock is a blend of
progressive rock, folk, funk, and a bit of jazz. Imagine Neil Young, Rush,
Red Hot Chili Peppers, STP and Dave Mathews locked in a room together. Although
there’s a bit of everything in there, even
a
taste of musical theatre, it’s always rock at its core, with a “less is
more” approach that rock demands. The fact that Andrew is admittedly a
drummer first explains the subtle-yet-complex drumming and not-so-simple
rhythmic guitar playing in his music. As well, performing musical theatre
across Canada brings a certain dramatic quality to both the songwriting and
performance.
Already with one CD under his
belt (This is my Theory, 2005), as well as a 3 song ep titled Punch
Bowl Sessions (currently on Myspace), Andrew is currently working on his 2nd full-length CD in
beautiful Vancouver, BC.

Grafton St. Dinner Theatre, and a substitute drum instructor for the
Canadian Conservatory. Acts
that Andrew has backed up on drums (and sometimes guitar and bass) both live and in
the studio include:

Proctor, Tequlia, Risyn, Kevin MacDonald, Paula
Danyluk, Dammien Alexander, Vagrant Hitchhiker, Sourdough

(Wheeler), Ian Sherwood, Nic Swales, Cash Only (Johnny
Cash Tribute), Hipeponymous (Tragically Hip tribute), and Dark Horse.
Andrew currently plays drums
